London, Mar 09: Spanish actress Penelope Cruz has sparked reports that she is secretly following Scientology and has been spending time at the religion's Celebrity Centre in Los Angeles.

Though Cruz split from devout Scientologist Tom Cruise in 2004 after a three-year relationship, she has apparently retained her belief in the controversial religion, reports contactmusic.com

She was a regular visitor at the Scientology Celebrity Centre in the two weeks leading up to the Academy Awards.

A source said: "She spent several afternoons there. When she's in Los Angeles, she goes often."
