HPCL to start bio-fuel plantation in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Jan 15: A bio-fuel plant would be set up in
the tribal belt of Banswara, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation
Limited's Chairman and Managing Director M B Lal said
here yesterday.
HPCL has sought about 20,000 hectares of wasteland for
jatropa and other related plants' cultivation in Banswara
district, he told reporters here.
HPCL was also looking for such wasteland in Chhattisgarh
and it was exploring possibilities of setting up more such
plants, he said.
The company was working on providing LPG and CNG gas
to domestic consumers, Lal added.
