London, Jan 13: Legendary singer Elvis Presley's trademark quiff has been voted the most iconic hairstyle of all time.
The singer, who was born blond, dyed his hair jet black from his 20s. The poll proves that Presley's look, which shocked the America of 1950s, is still a hit with the public.Presley's crop beat off competition from Marilyn Monroe who came second in the poll of more than 4,000 adults.
Audrey Hepburn’s “up-do” style, made famous by the 1961 film “Breakfast At Tiffany’s”, was third.
Princess Diana came fourth with her short, highlighted cut, which cost her 4,000 pounds a year in styling and bleaching.
Reggae legend Bob Marley’s dreadlocks rounded off the top five.
