Kolhapur, May 20: Police have registered case against item girl Rakhi Sawant for obscene and indecent activities in public and disrupting peace in Kolhapur.

Rakhi has been charged with exposing and obscenity while performing at a stage show in the area. Rahki was performing at a Bollywood event sponsored by liquor company Haywards in Kolhapur on May 18.

Police have arrested Gaurav Thakkar, the person associated with the event management company Mantra Events which was taking care of the show. He was later released on bail.

Rakhi, however, denied the charges. She said, “I have not done anything vulgar…it was just one of the regular stage shows that I keep performing. I have in no way disrupted peace and harmony or incited violence. Nothing of the sort happened in that show.”

She also said that she had not disrupted peace in any way but could not help if others turned rowdy.
