Kobani: It is unfathomable to imagine the plight of a man who has lost his entire family (wifes and two children) to the sea, which he thought will take them to happiness, far away from the vagaries of Islamic State war going on in his hometown.
Such is the situation of Abdullah Kurdi, who remains inconsolable after his two children and wife died while en route to Greece.
With the pictures of his younger son, Aylan Kurdi, washed up on a Turkish beach, moved the entire world to tears, Abdullah Kurdi himself remains in deep mourning and says nothing can compensate what he has lost.

Talking to the Sunday Telegraph, Abdullah Kurdi again poured his grieving heart out as he recounted the horror of that fateful moment when the boat capsized and he had to see his children die.
"Nothing can compensate me.. I have buried my soul, feelings and mind in the grave," the distraught father told the Telegraph.
Ever since Aylan Kurdi's pictures went viral, triggering a sea of grief worldwide, his father has been given a plethora of offers but Abdullah Kurdi continues to be least interested.
“All I seek is that God gives me patience," he added.

With his eyes brimming with tears, Abdullah spoke in words interspersed with sobs, recollecting how his kids and wife died in front of his eyes.
"Their mother was asking me to save the children not her...Aylan was saying 'Baba, Baba' (Daddy). Meanwhile, Galip was saying: 'Baba, the water is drowning me, did you bring us here so we could die?'
"Can you imagine? I took my own children for death," said Kurdi, overwhelmed with guilt.

Trying to swallow his overwhelmed feelings, Kurdi said all he was trying to do was to make his children and wife happy by taking them to Greece, but now that they are gone, he has no more hopes and dreams.
Kurdi and his family were among 12 passengers of a boat that capsized en route to Greece after the driver deserted them and escaped.
Like scores of other war-stricken people of Kobani, a flashpoint border town in Syria which has been under ISIS attacks, Kurdi wanted to keep his family safe and had set out for Turkey from where he was to go to Greece.
But, little did he know that, he will have to retreat back to the town which he was trying to flee, that too, along with his little baby's coffin.
