New Delhi: Facebook founder and chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg will chat live with three astronauts on board the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday, beginning at 12:55 pm EST (10:25 pm India Time).

Zuckerberg will video chat with the astronauts using Facebook's Live for 20 minutes asking them questions submitted by users on the NASA's Facebook page.

The Earth-to-space call session between Zuckerberg and the trio - Jeff Williams and Timothy Kopra from NASA, and Tim Peake from the European Space Agency can be viewed on NASA's Facebook page.

Some of the questions already posted on the social network site by the users include - What is it like to live and work in microgravity orbiting the Earth? What sorts of out-of-this-world science is underway in the space station’s laboratories? How does the research in space help prepare to send humans on a Journey to Mars?

The ISS serves as a microgravity and space environment research laboratory in which crew members conduct experiments in biology, human biology, physics, astronomy, meteorology, and other fields.

On Saturday May 28, the Bigelow Expandable Activity Module (BEAM), first experimental inflatable room, was successfully attached to the space station beginning two years of tests to demonstrate the new expandable technology.
