Chennai: Panic gripped several Chennai schools on Tuesday after police received a bomb call.

According to report in The News Minute, panic spread across several schools in the East Coast Road (ECR) and Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) in Chennai district of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday due to a bomb call.

Soon after the bomb call, worried parents rushed to the schools to collect their children.

Also, many schools in other parts of the city were shut down.

However, sources in the bomb disposal squad say that the bomb call was a hoax.

Reportedly, the bomb call was about a specific school in Santhome locality in Chennai.
