Lucknow, Nov 23: Accusing the UPA Government of
politicising terrorism, the RSS on Sunday said that the Centre had
coined terms like 'Hindu terrorism' to cover up its failure in
combating terrorism.
"There is nothing like 'Hindu terrorism' or 'Muslim
terrorism', anyone killing innocents is a terrorist," RSS
chief K S Sudarshan said on the sidelines of a RSS meeting
here.
Taking a dig at the Centre for maligning the image of
Hindus, Sudarshan said, "instead of taking any step to
effectively combat terrorism in the country, the government is
trying to divert the attention of people by coining terms
like Hindu and Muslim terrorism."
He added that the UPA is involving in the game of
politicking, since the general elections are approaching.
Earlier addressing a session here, Sudarshan said, "the
recent agitations over Amarnath shrine and Ram Setu indicate
that the Hindu awakening has taken place."
The RSS chief also condemned the role of PDP and termed
it a pro-Pakistan party.
He also said that unlike Christianity or Islam, Hinduism
is not a religion, it is a way of life in sync with nature.
Pointing to western lifestyle as reasons for global
recession and global warming, Sudarshan said, "individualism
takes an upper hand in the west over family and society,
unlike in India, where we follow 'Sarve Bhavantu Sukhina'."
The RSS chief criticised Nehru for his pro-western
approach and stressed on de-centralised and pro-people
approach.
He also praised the institution of family and said the
country's families are still safe and sound.
Sudarshan also blamed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and
Finance Minister P Chidambaram for the kind of economic
recession India is facing coupled with decline in production.
He said that the villages should be the centre point of
all developmental activities in the country.
