Paswan calls for Centre-state effort to curb terror

Ranchi, Nov 28: There should be a joint mechanism between the states and the Centre to deal with terrorism, Union Steel Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said here on Friday.

"Whenever such attacks take place, the buck is passed to the Centre ... if you observe, there has been no terror attack in the USA after 9/11 because of a strong anti-terror strategy," Paswan said.
The nation was facing two types of terrorism, external and internal, he said while addressing a rally to mark his Lok Janshakti Party's eighth foundation day at the Morhabadi grounds.
"We should also have a strong joint strategy to counter foreign-instigated terror attacks," he said.
"The wires from the Malegaon incident is now reaching the RSS to VHP to the Bajrang Dal and to (RSS chief K) Sudarsan," he said.
Referring to the arrests of Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and Col Purohit, Paswan alleged that the BJP's target had always been Muslims for blasts in the country. "Terrorism has no religion or caste."
