Mumbai, Nov 27: At a time when the security agencies are still struggling to obtain vital clues regarding the coordinated terror strikes in Mumbai on Wednesday night, a little-known terrorist group “Deccan Mujahideen” has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

In an e-mail sent to Zee News and some other media houses, the group has warned the Government of India to immediately halt the persecution and harassment of Muslims in the name of tackling terrorism.
The group has demanded that all areas which were forcibly taken from Muslims should be returned and that it is prepared to launch more such attacks for the purpose.
The group repeatedly swears to avenge all atrocities committed against their Muslim brethren so far.
The mail says that the success of organisations fighting in Kashmir, Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia etc, is a proof that history repeats itself and is also an indication of its absolute will power to take revenge against all the ill treatment meted out to Muslims.
Assuming that the Indian government will not take their warning seriously, the group claimed that it carried out coordinated blasts in Mumbai as a proof of their intention of retribution.
The militant body further warned that India should not feel secure just because ATS and Army are equipped with modern weaponry. The Mumbai episode would prove the point, the mail gloats.
The group claimed that that recent terrorist attacks in India is a reaction of anti-Muslim policy of Hindus and all wrong doings committed by them since 1947.
The group has warned that terrorist activities in India and across the world will not stop till all their brethren are freed and harassment of Muslim youth in the name of terror is stopped.
Demanding full protection of Mosques and other Muslim institutions, the group said that they will not be demoralized by any policy of economic isolation or that of incarcerating Muslim youth.
'Deccan Mujahideen' concludes that it draws inspiration from Prophet Mohammad and Abu Baqr, and says that its mission will continue till Islamic rule is not established in India.
