Lala Lajpatrai remembered on his martydom day

Moga, Nov 17: Veteren freedom fighter lala lajpatrai
was remembered at Dhudike in Moga district, birth place of Lalaji
on his 80th martyrdom day on Monday lala Lajpat Rai birth place
memorial committee organised a special function to mark the occasion.
Lakshmi Kanta Chawla, Punjab, health minister was the
chief guest and Tota Singh, former education minister presided over
the function.
The special feature this time to mark the occasion was the
holding of poetry symposium where six top Punjabi and Urdu
poets from Pakistan participated.
The poets not only recited patriotic songs and poems but
also gave message of strengthening peace and harmony between the
peace loving people of both the countries.
Mohammed Akaram, who led the group of poets from Pakistan
while remembering the contribution of the Punjab kesari exuded
confidence that their visit to this historic place would
further strengthen the ties between the two countries.
