New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was on Friday released from Tihar jail after spending 50 days in custody, Kejriwal received a bill from the Supreme Court till June 1, which is the last phase of the Lok Sabha election 2023. In a conversation with Zee Zews, CM Kejriwal expressed his belief in the public and said, "Public Will Deliver Justice." Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with Delhi's excise policy case.

CM's wife Sunita Kejriwal, Daughter and AAP leader and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also went to receive Kejriwal from Tihar jail. Delhi CM Kejriwal received a warm welcome from his family members after he reached his residence.   

After coming out from Tihar jail, CM Kejriwal announced the press conference tomorrow at 1 pm and informed that he will visit the  Hanuman temple tomorrow at 11 pm. "Darshan in Hanuman temple at 11 o'clock, press conference at 1 o'clock, Arvind Kejriwal roared after coming out of Tihar," CM said.

He also expressed his feelings after coming out from jail and said, "I had said I would come soon, I am here...it feels good to be among you."

Earlier, the Supreme Court ordered his release on interim bail in the excise policy case until June 1. A bench presided over by Justice Sanjiv Khanna ruled that the AAP supremo must surrender on June 2. The bench also included the Justice Dipankar Datta.

On the other hand, ED opposed the grant of interim bail to Kejriwal and claimed that a politician has no special status above that of an ordinary person and is just as likely to be arrested.
