As the rescue operation to save 41 workers trapped entres the last stages, Lt. Gen. Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd), a member of the NDMA informed that only 2 metres more of the drilling process to be done and said that the evacuation process for each of the 41 individuals is projected to require 3-5 minutes. The entire evacuation operation is anticipated to span 3-4 hours. Three NDRF teams will enter the tunnel to coordinate the evacuation, with support provided by SDRF.
