Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Live Coverage Updates: The Congress said on Saturday that the ruling CPI(M) in Kerala had manipulated the election machinery and harassed voters in an attempt to lower the turnout percentage, a day after voting for the state's 20 Lok Sabha seats ended.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Live Updates: On Friday, the second phase of India's national elections came to a close. Approximately 63.50% of voters cast ballots in the second round of voting for 88 parliamentary constituencies located across 13 states and Union Territories (UTs), according to the Election Commission of India (ECI). Elections were held in 102 seats spread across 21 states and Union territories on April 19 for the first round of voting. 

While Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in the Porbandar Lok Sabha constituency today, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath addressed a public meeting in Hathras. On the other hand, Congress likely to discuss Amethi, Raebareli seats in today's CEC meeting. 

Contesting against BJP's Madhavi Latha, AIMIM President & candidate Asaduddin Owaisi holds door-to-door election campaign in Hyderabad.

While addressing the public rally in Maharashtra's Kolhapur, Prime Minister and BJP senior leader  Narendra Modi said that the congress is using anti-national Agendas to win polls.

"When the Congress and its friends realised that they could not compete with NDA's track record of development, they changed their strategy. They are using anti-national agendas and appeasement. Now, Congress' agenda is that they will reinstate Article 370 in Kashmir..," he said.

During the public rally in Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said, "In the Congress manifesto, along with the hand of the Congress, hands of foreign forces are also visible who want to give your children's property to Muslims, finish the nations nuclear weapons, divide the nation on castism and regionalism."

"The 'Tukde-tukde' gang has surrounded Congress completely and has hijacked their ideology... You have to decide whether you want to go with Congress' 'Tukde-tukde' gang or Narendra Modi who believes in 'Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat'. You have to decide whether the children's property should remain with them or should it go to Muslims. We gave all rights to Muslims, equally... But we did not give it based on religion, we gave it because it was their right.., " he said.

"When Rajiv Gandhi became the PM, there was a law that 55% of the property would go to the government, but he abolished this law and saved his property. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge during a public rally in Barpeta said that PM Modi looted the money of the poor and gave it to the rich. "They are selling railways, roads, ports, airports. Modi and Shah both are sellers and who are the buyers? Adani and Ambani are the two buyers. This is how the country develops. They are not for the development of the Country. Lok Sabha Elections 2024 LIVE: KC Venugopal Accuses CPI(M) Of Hijacking Polls In Kerala 

The Congress said on Saturday that the ruling CPI(M) in Kerala had manipulated the election machinery and harassed voters in an attempt to lower the turnout percentage, a day after voting for the state's 20 Lok Sabha seats ended. 

When comparing this year's polling percentage to that of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, AICC general secretary K C Venugopal stated that one of the factors contributing to the decline in turnout was the alleged takeover of election machinery by the ruling CPI(M). Voter turnout ended with a significant decline, with the percentage standing at 70.22 percent at 8 p.m. yesterday, despite increased political energy and enthusiasm surrounding the general elections for Kerala's 20 Lok Sabha seats.
