Priyanka Gandhi, while speaking to the media, said that she is very happy about Congress' win in Himachal. 

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said, "This is a new beginning for Congress as well as the people of Himachal Pradesh. Rahul Gandhi's yatra against inflation and unemployment will become stronger from Himachal."

On the other hand, Sachin Pilot said, "I believe that Sukhu will be able to deliver all the promises given by Cong. The people of Himachal Pradesh always supported Congress. We all will work together for the development of the state."

Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi expressed their happiness over Congress' win in the Himachal Assembly Elections against the BJP. The two flew into Shimla to show their support for the designate CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu who will be officially sworn-in shortly.

Himachal Pradesh CM oath-taking ceremony: Rahul Gandhi lands in Shimla

Rahul Gandhi took a break from Bharat Jodo Yatra in Rajasthan to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Himachal Pradesh which is at 1:30 pm. He arrived in Shimla at around 12:30 pm along with Priyanka Gandhi. Earlier, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Ashok Gehlot had also arrived for the same. Sukhu had gone to receive the Congress leaders at the Sanjauli helipad.

We need to work together': Himachal Pradesh Cong chief Pratibha Singh's son and MLA Vikramaditya Singh

Congress MLA Vikramaditya Singh, ahead of the oath-taking ceremony of the next Himachal CM Sukhvinder Sukhu and Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri, spoke about the people of Himachal reposing their faith in the Congress party. He said that it is imperative that they fulfill all their promises and work together for the people. 

He told ANI, "People of Himachal have reposed their faith in us, we need to fulfill our promises and work together. We respect the decision of top-brass of the party."

Himachal Pradesh CM swearing-in ceremony: 'Why won't I attend?' says state Cong chief Pratibha Singh

Pratibha Singh who was also in the Himachal CM race, on Sunday, said that she will definitely attend the oath-taking ceremony of next CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu who was chosen by the Congress high command. After meeting Sukhu ahead of the ceremony and speaking to the media, she said, "Why won't I attend his oath-taking ceremony? Of course, I will go. It is my prime duty to be there with him as he takes oath as CM today."

Himachal Pradesh: Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu meets state Congress chief Pratibha Singh

Ahead of the oath-taking ceremony, the next Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met Congress Chief Pratibha Virbhadra Singh at her home on Sunday morning. Sukhu, while speaking to ANI, said, "She is the party's state chief and we all work under her. I am here to extend an invite to her for the oath-taking ceremony."

Next Himachal CM Sukhvinder Sukhu - How he rose the ranks

Sukvinder Sukhu, who will be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday, is often looked up to as a dedicated grassroots politician who has worked his way up through the ranks and has extensive experience in the hill state. A four-time MLA and former Congress party chief in the state, Sukhu has been a member of NSUI (student wing of Congress) and Youth Congress. He has always been vocal, even if it was not to the liking of the former Himachal CM, Virbhadra Singh who died in 2021. He has been a strong advocate for promoting and nurturing younger Congress leaders in Himachal Pradesh. He has a wide network in the state due to his many years in the organization. He will be the first Congress leader from "lower Himachal" to become the top post.

'I am thankful': Sukhwinder Sukhu's wife ahead of oath-taking ceremony in Himachal

Elected Chief Minister for Himachal Pradesh - Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's wife Kamlesh Thakur expressed her gratitude to the people of the hill state for the opportunity. She said that Sukhu's family and supporters will stand by his side as he goes on to fulfill all the promises he has made to the people of Himachal. Kamlesh Thakur was speaking to the media ahead of the oath-taking proceedings in Shimla today. 

She told ANI, "I am thankful to the people of the state. We will continue to support him so that he fulfills all the promises he has made."

Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge to attend oath ceremony in Himachal Pradesh

According to Congress senior leader Jairam Ramesh, Rahul Gandhi, party chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Sonia Gandhi will attend the oath-taking ceremony of Himachal Pradesh's next Chief Minister Sukvinder Sukhu. He will take oath at 11 am but the ceremony will begin at 1:30 pm as per Raj Bhavan sources. Rahul Gandhi will take a break from Bharat Jodo Yatra in Rajasthan to attend the key event.
