Los Angeles, Jan 22: With 'Slumdog Millionaire' bagging a whopping ten Oscar nominations, Indians including the Golden Globe winner, AR Rahman, and Resul Pookutty, have won a total of four nominations at the much awaited ceremony in Los Angeles.
While Rahman has won three nominations for Best Original Score and Best Original Songs, Resul has bagged one in the Sound Mixing category for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.
Also, Bollywood's renowned lyricist Gulzar has been jointly nominated with Rahman for the song 'Jai Ho'. And it was a dream come true for another Indian lyricist Maya Arulpragasam who won a joint nomination with Rahman for ‘O saya’.
The film has bagged a total of ten nominations. It had earlier won four Golden Globes including Best Motion Picture, Best Director for Danny Boyle, Best Young Actor for 18-year-old Dev Patel and Best Original Score for AR Rahman.
It has received 11 Bafta nominations and has been tipped for more success at the Oscars, despite opening behind US teen comedy 'Role Models' in its opening week in the UK.

The 81st annual Academy Awards will be held Sunday, February 22, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood and will be broadcast live in over 200 countries accross the world.
This past weekend, the film climbed to number 10 on the North American Box Office chart and has grossed USD44.2 million to date. It is currently the number one movie in Britain and releases in India January 23.
The film came under some criticism from various quarters in India, including superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who said the film was cashing upon India's poverty, neglecting the country's success story.
The cast and crew as well as the fim-makers of 'Slumdog Millionaire' have denied such allegations. The film is an adaptation from Vikas Swarups's novel Q&A.
