Day after the India tour of Punjabi-Canadian singer Shubhneet Singh was cancelled, the singer released a statement stating that he was 'extremely disheartened by the cancellation of my tour in India.' 'I was highly amped up and enthusiastic to perform in my country, in front of my people. But I guess destiny had some other plans,' Shubh wrote in an Instagram post.

Salman Khan launched the trailer of Gippy Grewal’s Punjabi film 'Maujaan Hi Maujaan' on Thursday, there he made an interesting statement where he claimed that ‘100 Crore Club’ is a rock bottom now. In a clip that was shared by a fan of Salman Khan, a host asked the actor, “Talking about the 100 crore club, you are the poster boy of that. How do you feel Punjabi films are also on that mark, on that journey?" Salman Khan promptly answered, “I think the 100 crore mark is going to be the rock bottom now. Everything would be 4-5-600+now for the Punjabi industry, Hindi industry, every industry. Even Marathi films are doing these numbers. 100 crores is not going to be a very big deal. I think the benchmark should be 1000 crore for a film right now."
