Mulayam Singh to resign from Bharthana, retain Mainpuri

Lucknow, May 25: Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav will resign from Bharthana Assembly seat and retain Mainpuri seat, which he won in the recent Lok Sabha polls, party sources said here.
After the resignation of Mulayam as MLA, his brother Shivpal Singh Yadav will hold the post of the leader of the opposition in Vidhan Sabha.

Mulayam Singh Yadav presently holds the post of leader of opposition in the Vidhan Sabha.

A decision to this effect was taken at a party legislators meeting here, they said.
