Mumbai: ‘Perfect Mismatch’ is a perfect Bollywood cliché based on a boy-meets-girls flick amidst family opposition. ‘Perfect Mismatch’ is a big mismatch in terms of storyline, direction and screenplay as it fails to impress at the Box Office.
‘Perfect Mismatch’ is about the story about an architect Aman (Anubhav Anand) who comes across beautiful Neha (Nandana Sen) and gets bowled over. Everything is fine between the love struck couple until their guardians meet - Mr Patel (Boman Irani) and Mr Bhalla (Anupam Kher). With the former being Gujarati and other Punjabi, both have reservations in marrying outside their caste.
With both the parents locking horns in the very first meet, Aman and Neha’s love is in trouble. Yet, the love struck couple hardly takes any action to iron out the differences. Instead of sorting out their family differences, the oddball couple simply goes into a passive shell thereby paralyzing all action.
In terms of acting, barring Anupam Kher, there is hardly any convincing performance. Even Boman Irani gets wasted as an actor as well as his last minute change of heart that could have been portrayed more convincingly. Debutant Anubhav Anand makes quite an impression while Nandana Sen hardly performs.
In totality, ‘Perfect Mismatch’ is a big disaster!
