Madonna, Guy Ritchie ‘extend truce to five times a year for kids’ sake’

Former couple Madonna and Guy Ritchie have reportedly decided to extend their truce to five times a year for the sake of their children.

London, Jan 11: Former couple Madonna and Guy Ritchie have reportedly decided to extend their truce to five times a year for the sake of their children.
The warring pair, locked in a sour custody battle for kids, were said to have made peace during Christmas as the Queen of Pop flew down to her ex-hubby’s native England to celebrate the festive evening as a family. And now, both the separated celebrities have allegedly nodded in favour of continuing the peace deal throughout 2009 and to meet during important days for Rocco, eight, their adopted son David, three, and Lourdes, Madonna’s 12-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. “When it comes down to it, they are both parents and they want to do what’s right for their children,” News of the World quoted a friend close to Guy as saying. “Christmas was something done through gritted teeth, but it worked out in the end and was a success for the kids. “But the children aren’t stupid, especially Lourdes who is old enough to understand what’s been going on. There was a lot of pain and nastiness last year,” he added. ANI
