London, Nov 01: India is the fourth largest global polluter, next only to the United States, China and Russia, owing to its green house gas emissions.
The United States is the biggest culprit accounting for 20.6 per cent of the global emissions, 'The Economics of Climate Change' by Sir Nicholas Stern has said.
China which comes second, accounts for 14.8 per cent of the global emissions and Russia third with 5.7 per cent.
